I've been working for years as a consultant in the video games, board games and media industries, leveraging my decades-long experience in criticism, journalism and fandom.
I'm available for all kinds of consulting, but have particular experience with discoverability and press outreach for indie games, as well as mock/silent reviews during all stages of development.
I can adjust my time and budget to suit your needs; some of the games I've helped out on have been tiny student projects, others have been part of Summer Games Fest and GamesCom showcase events.
My focus as a consultant is on you, your game and your potential audience. That's it. There are too many "consultants" and "experts" in this industry who will bow down before algorithms and quote from the latest business book they skimmed through an excerpt of on Linkedin; I just want to help you and your game resonate with human beings, drawing on my experience as a critic and designer. Because if we're not in video games to make cool things that people can enjoy, just what exactly are we doing here?
